The elementary public school of Mael-Pestivien is at the heart of a consolidation of local schools. This consolidation includes the communes of Peumerit-Quintin, Saint-Nicodeme and Mael-Pestivien. Children from Tremargat and Saint-Servais also attend the school.
The school has pupils from 2 to 11 years, from the small nursery school to CM2 .
The school has pupils from several different nationalities, all of whom are taught alongside each other, successfully.
Renovated about ten years ago, the school is made up of three classes and a canteen. The canteen which is up to stringent european standards, and as such, the meals are prepared on-site.
